MY COLLEGE LIFE AT VISAYAS STATE UNIVERSITY TOLOSA

Being a college student is not really easy because there are lots of adjustments that need to be made; adjustment with the new people that surrounds you and the new school environment.
I could say that my college life is full of challenges with a combination of tiredness, fear, and happiness. Tiredness since it is hard for me to manage my time for myself, especially since I am pregnant, because I have a lot of school work that needs to be accomplished. And sometimes a conflicting schedule of activities becomes a reason why I find it difficult and think of quitting my studies because I worried that sleeplessness might affect my baby’s health.
Sometimes failure can give me a thousand reasons to feel fear, because last year I was awarded one of the university honors, but I am not expecting that title because I know it will give me a reason to pressure my studies because of the expectations of others. But face-to-face classes taught me that failure is part of the process of learning, which is why I overcame my fear by believing in myself.
My college life also taught me that life is full of meaning and that we just have to go with the flow. My Babe family is one of the reasons why I chose to survive my college life—even in the midst of trials and difficulties, they are always there to help one another.
I’ve met friends with whom I’ve shared my college journey and a place where I can feel my most complete self. Where I am accepted and appreciated, seen and valued, even in moments of disagreement. Room 202 is my soft place to fall, the place where reminded that no matter what happens to you, in the face of your deepest challenges, you are loved.
